What we offer
Individual Violin Lesson
Individual lessons are a one-on-one lesson for your child which allows us to customise the class to suit their individual needs. Please ask us any questions that you may have and we will try our best to help you. Parents are expected to attend all Suzuki Lessons and lessons can be 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour.
Music Theory Lesson
We offer individual music theory lessons, focussing on learning all about the fundamental elements that make up music. You will learn about key signatures, names of notes, melody and harmony, scales, rhythm and form. Not only will you learn what all the dots, symbols and words mean on a music score, but you will learn how to apply these to your music instrument.
Suzuki Group Classes
Suzuki Group classes are where we get to reinforce the skills learnt in the individual lesson. Through games and playing through the common repertoire, children learn to play together as a group, listen critically to music, learn leadership, work together, develop their confidence … and most importantly, have fun! Classes are 30 minutes for little people, and 45 minutes - 1 hour for the older kids. Classes start at $22 a session.
Piano Accompanying
If you need a piano accompanist for an upcoming AMEB exam, Suzuki graduation recording, recital, concert or competition, get in contact with us to check availability. Prices for accompanying is $120 per hour. We can accompany any instrument but specialise in strings.
School Holiday Lesson
We offer individual school holiday lessons for any Violin student in Melbourne whose teacher does not teach during the holidays. All AMEB/traditional or Suzuki Violin students are welcome over the holidays. We work collaboratively with other teachers so let us know who your teacher is, and we can be in touch with them to work out the best way to support you.
AMEB Exam Preparation
AMEB Exam Preparation for Violin includes pieces, scales and technical exercises, sight reading, aural, general knowledge and music theory. Each of these will be covered in detail to ensure your child does the best that they can.
Violin Holiday Programs
