Suzuki Violin Winter Camp

COMING UP: Monday July 8th - Thursday July 11th 2024

July 8 - July 11 2024.

Ellison String Studio is holding a Suzuki Violin Holiday Program in the July holidays of 2024. Our "Suzuki Violin Winter Camp" is a four full-day camp (9am - 3pm every day) and its goal is to extend Suzuki Violin Students in Melbourne by learning additional musical skills.

Minimum age is 7 years old and this holiday program is designed for Violin students who are at a minimum of Minuet 1 in Book 1 up to Suzuki Book 5.

Besides reviewing our Suzuki pieces in group classes, there will be activities to teach your child how to read music (or reinforce their skills if they already know how to read), look at music writing and composing music, improvisation, singing through Kodaly music games, music theory and many other things.

The kids will also have other fun relaxing activities throughout the day such as arts and craft, mindfulness, watching movies and listening to music.

Join us for a fun week!

Open to all Suzuki Violin Students from any qualified teacher or trainee teacher. The winter violin camp will be held at the Ellison String Studio in Hawthorn East, Victoria.

The expectation is that children memorise every piece up to their current piece, so that we can cover violin technique, review, listening and embrace the Suzuki philosophy of nurturing loving human beings, and help develop each child's character through the study of music.

Please provide your child with their own packed recess and lunch. Parents do not have to stay for the whole day, but are welcome to if they wish.

Numbers are strictly limited to 20 due to space and teacher allocation.

If you are unsure of anything, please contact me before booking.

If booked out, contact me: ellisonstringstudio@gmail.com to be put on the waiting list.
